The Genesis
MAISON ST was born in the raw, industrial heart of Marseille. A small collective of drag artists and visionaries came together with a singular mission: to carve out a safe, unapologetic space for LGBTQIA+ expression in a city that demanded to be heard.

Underground Awakening
Our first major underground showcases began to draw crowds beyond the immediate community. We transformed abandoned warehouses into neon-lit sanctuaries of high-glamour performance, challenging societal norms and celebrating queer joy.

Opening the Doors
Recognizing the need for accessible artistic development, we launched our first inclusive training workshops. These programs provided aspiring performers with the skills, mentorship, and stage time needed to find their unique voices.

Digital Resilience
When the world paused, our mission did not. We pivoted to digital platforms, broadcasting live performances and hosting virtual support groups, ensuring our community remained connected and visible during unprecedented isolation.

The Grand Return
We reclaimed the physical stage with a massive, city-wide festival. It was a triumphant return to live art, blending avant-garde drag with immersive theater, and solidifying our role as a cultural powerhouse in Marseille.

A Decade of Defiance
Ten years later, MAISON ST stands as a beacon of LGBTQIA+ visibility and artistic excellence. From underground roots to recognized cultural institution, our commitment to creation, inclusion, and the transformative power of drag remains unshaken.

Inclusive Workshops
true cultural access means creating spaces where everyone feels welcome and valued. Our inclusive workshops are open to all, serving as vital touchpoints for community engagement and social inclusion. These interactive sessions are designed to demystify the art of drag and performance, making it accessible to a broader public while raising awareness about LGBTQIA+ causes. Participants are invited to explore their creativity in a supportive, non-judgmental environment, fostering empathy and mutual respect. Through collaborative exercises and open dialogues, we bridge gaps between different communities, using art as a universal language for connection. These workshops not only strengthen the bonds within our own community but also build vital bridges to the wider society, reinforcing our core belief that art is for everyone and that shared creative experiences can pave the way for a more inclusive and understanding world.
